State Farm
Summarize 2 things you learned from Callan's presentation? Is there something you wanted to learn that you didn't or something that you didn't understand?
She truly informed more about auto insurance, as well as home an rental insurance. She answered every question very thoroughly and good evidence to back it up. Very happy with her discussion with us!
I learned that many different things can be insured and that getting the minimum isn't always the best. It's better to pay a little more to be able for insurance to cover more than pay for a less coverage. The discussion was very informative.
I learned about the different ways that discounts can be given out, and how big of a difference they can make. She showed how to maneuver around that insurance quote website, and how each input can inversely affect the price of the insurance per month. She also talked about why not to settle for insurance, and get the maximum coverage due to the high chance of big hospital/mechanic prices. I wish she talked about out-of-state insurances, how they will change your current insurance, and other things regarding moving farther away/out of state.

I felt as if the presentation was very informative and helpful. All of us have something that needs to be insured or will have something in the close future that requires insurance. I didn't realize how many different options there were when looking to purchase insurance. One specific thing that I found interesting was if you were to get a quote from an insurance company the quote would be the least expensive option.
The presentation was very helpful I learned that there is a lot of things that you could do to lower your insurance like getting good grades, downloading a app. Also that you have to have insurance to legally drive and that there are a lot of them who get into accidents and not have insurance.
This was a very helpful presentation. I learned that there are a lot of different types of insurance and there are a lot of ways to get discounts on insurance.
I thought the presentation was very informative. She knows a lot about insurance and was able to tell us about the different available options, as well as discounts. I also liked that she told us what she saw as the most important types of car insurance to get. She answered all of our questions thoroughly and gave some interesting examples.
Two things i learned from this guest speaker were that if you have your laptop or purse stolen out of your car that falls under renters insurance and that there are many types of auto insurance but the bare minimum required by law is called liability
I learned that there are many ways to lower your rate for insurance such as good grades and downloading an app. I also learned that you can insure things far beyond just home and auto insurance.
Callan offered a thorough explanation of the multitude of auto insurance plans that exist and what they cover. Her top five list of the most commonly applicable insurance plans I took to heart, and will remember as I explore these plans for myself. Her experience dealing with auto accidents in the office gave a broader perspective of the sort of issues you can run into as a driver, as well as how often they happen. It was a good reminder of how important it is to keep safety and possible scenarios on the forefront of your mind while planning for the future and conducting yourself in the moment.
Liability, Emergency, and collision coverage are very important. without collision you may not be able to get money back. Home rental insurance covers things that may have been stolen from your car.
The guest speaker was very helpful in his presentation. We learned that doing simple things could reduce your insurance which was something I've never heard of. For example if you get good grades or if you download the state farm app.
Callan Bjornn's presentation helped me understand the basics of car insurance coverage and what types should be prioritized: Comprehensive, collision, and emergency road side assistance. I discovered that renters insurance is required before applying for certain leases. Bjornn did an excellent job covering the basics of insurance.
I learned that there are different things that you can add to your package to more efficiently insure your stuff. You can insure much more than just your car and house
The presentation was helpful, she told us about the different kinds of coverage that are offered and what each one helps with. We also learned about discount that I would have liked to know about sooner
I learned about all the different insurance coverage plans, and what could happen if you don't have the right coverage plans on your house or your car. Additionally, I learned about certain auto insurance discounts you could get for being a good student, tracking your driving , etc. I felt that the presentation was very comprehensive and thorough.
I thought the presentation was very professional and the information was very important, she showed me what the top 3 insurance coverages you'd want. Overall the presentation was helpful.
this was very helpful i learned that if u have good grades you can get discounts for insurance and even after college if you have good grades it will still apply for about 4 years
I learned about which insurance coverage plans are most important to have and what they mean. Her presentation was very personal and I really appreciated her willingness to answer "what if's"
I learned some valuable information regarding your liability (not the coverage term) and responsibility regarding car accidents. I didn't get around to asking, but do you still need renter's insurance to cover your personal belongings in your car if you're not a home owner and are not renting?
i learned the if you don't have collision, car rental and travel expenses, uninsured motors, under insured motors, medical payments and emergency road service. also we can get discounts for certian things but can vary to insurance companies.
I didn't know that renters and liability insurance intersected so much with personal belongings. But does that also extend with home insurance in place of renters insurance? And how high would the rate raise go up if your car gets broken into often?
The woman from Statefarm answered so many questions and gave great advice when it comes to car and renters insurance. I learned that in Oregon, anyone driving on the road has to have a minimum of liability insurance, which helps cover the damage if I they cause harm to someone else. Apparently it’s also a good idea to get comprehensive insurance, which is coverage that helps if the car is stolen or damaged not in a collision, and collision insurance is smart in those instances in which the damage is caused by collision. It’s also smart to pay more for insurance in case something bad happens, and that way you won’t have to pay for the excess costs out of pocket. If items in the car are stolen, those wouldn’t be covered by car insurance, but rather property insurance. And if you have something of value, you can individually insure it to make sure it’ll be covered if something happens to it. When it comes to renter’s insurance, you can put all roommates on one bill and just remove an individual when they move out. Overall, I learned that people that work for insurance will do their best to help their clients, and will always have your best interests in mind.
I learned a number of things from the State Farm representative that were very helpful and answered many of my questions. Through the presentation I learned about the types of discounts that I could be eligible for, what types of insurance are available and how renter's insurance works. I discovered that although insurance can be expensive, it's important to have good insurance that can ensure that you will be covered. Another incredibly important fact that I learned was that you can be under the same renter's insurance as your roommate in order to save money. In all, my questions regarding insurance were answered completely and the presentation taught me many things that I hadn't known before.
I learned a lot like that the bare minimum does not cover that much and that you can upgrade your insurance to get more coverage i also learned that there is different types of insurance that cover different things .
I learned a lot from our recent guest speaker, her presentation was very well done and full of important information. She informed us of all the possible outcomes of what could happen if we didn't have insurance and how having insurance can save you thousands and thousands of dollars. Car insurance is very important whether you cause an accident or are a victim in an accident yourself. It's very important that you don't just get the bare minimum when it comes to insurance because that doesn't always cover everything you'll need to pay. When she talked about renter insurance I learned that it's actually really simple to add and take roommates off your insurance. I also learned that if you should always update your insurance with new items that can cost up to $500 so that if it gets stolen your insurance will pay you back for the item. Overall I learned a lot from our recent speaker and now I feel a lot more informed.
I learned about all the different types of insurance and what exactly they and if you're gonna buy cheap insurance you may as well have nothing at all because it basically won't cover anything. I wanted to learn more in depth about the differences between good coverage and bad coverage.
We learned that different insurances have different views on what full coverage could mean, so you need to call tell them exactly what you are looking for and try to find the best deal for it that you can. Also different insurance companies can offer random discounts for certain things so be sure to ask what discounts they offer.
I think I learned more about renters insurance. It seems like renter's insurance covers quite a bit, and it might be one of the most important insurances to have. My wonder is, does homeowners insurance replace it? Renters Insurance covers anything in your car and in your house if something gets stolen or is destroyed by something that isn't your fault. I'm assuming homeowners insurance is similar.
I learned that there are a lot of factors that go into insurance and there's lots of things that can lower your insurance or make it higher like your gender, if you took certain classes, if you are going to college. I learned that if you don't have car insurance and get in an accident that it is going to be really expensive. We also learned about all the different insurances there is and what they mean.
Some Insurance only covers the minimum so you should put a little more money away in the bank so just encase you have to use it you have it there. I also learned that you don't have to have some types of insurance for motorists but you definitely should. What I wish I learned more about is the types of deals that companies give you for insurance.
I learned all about what full coverage means. If you have a pet that bits someones it is your responsibility. You want get charged with money. I also learned that when you rent a person can stay with you for 3 days but you should also let the insurgence know before someone calls on you.
I learned that getting the bare minimum is not the best thing, it would barely cover you if you got in a accident, always get the one above the bare minimum for car insurance and renter. I also learned that if your car gets broke into, its renter insurance that would get the stuff back not car insurance.
Bjornn's presentation helped me understand the core of car insurance coverage and what types should be chosen first: Comprehensive, collision, and emergency road side assistance. I leanred that renters insurance is required when applying for certain leases.
She had a lot of useful information that I wasn't aware of like details about renters insurance such as it replacing stolen items, also renters insurance covers personal property so take pictures of things you own that are important to you over $100. Liability is great because it potentially makes you pay less out of pocket.
I learned that multiple things can be covered under your insurance including what's in your living space AND what's in your car. So if things in your car get stolen they can be replaced as well. Also it's recommended to document all your expensive and valuable items so if they're stolen they can easily be replaced.
i learned that renter insurance covers items in your car if your car gets broken onto not car insurance. I also learned that some insurances only cover that minimal amount and you should always put some extra cash away in the bank.
It's beneficial to have insurance and to invest in the slightly more expensive plan to protect yourself from any unexpected accidents whether it be a car accident or something that happens to your apartment. You should always try and prepare for te worst.
Different insurance companies have different definitions of what full coverage means. It's important to figure out what it means for your specific company. Also to always get more than the bare minimum
you should save some money in case you get into an accident and have a deductible you need to pay. I also learned that just because you have insurance, doesn't mean that you wont have to pay more money down the line in an accident. Getting in an accident can garnish your wages if you cant pay to fix the damages.
I learned that it's smart to have significantly more than the legally required amount of insurance if you can afford it. It's also safer from a financial standpoint to not swerve out of the way of a deer or something, in case you hit someone's car or property.
I learned to get more insurance then you THINK you need because anything can happen and a couple dollars a month is better than tens of thousands in damages.
It's a good idea to get the best insurance possible even if it is more expensive. Also don't get into a car accident with somebody uninsured because your insurance will end up paying for it no matter if you caused the accident or not.
I learned that if you get hit by someone who doesn't have insurance, you or your insurance company are the ones responsible for paying for the damage. I also discovered that renters insurance is not the same as regular insurance because it covers what's in the car. Also it is very important to have extra money in the bank for your car because there is a lot of things that aren't always covered by insurance.
I learned that in Oregon, anyone driving on the road has to have a minimum of liability insurance, which helps cover the damage if I they cause harm to someone else. Also that if items in your car are stolen it can be covered by property insurance.
It's good to invest in getting a plan that has more money to insure yourself in case you get into and accident you and the other person are insured unless you go over the deductible then you have to pay it yourself. You should prepare as much as you can if you get the chance to because in the long run you will pay less for other people's medical bills if you go over because the insurance will pay the rest. It's cheaper for you to bundle your renters and car insurance because the company will give you a discount for bundling them together. Renters insurance will cover you if there is a break in they will give you a check for the amount of what is stolen(it's good to take pictures of valuables) it covers a break in to you car because your personal effects are covered under renters insurance. In some places that will lease to you it is required to have renters insurance.
It is best to have a higher insurance plan, making the investment amount higher/larger does not always mean that you are going to hike up your monthly bill as it does not often go up more then a few dollars. There is also the idea of gap insurance, which can and will help one a lot when a problem occurs. I also learned that renters insurance will cover anything in your car.
I learned that renters insurance is useful to have in case any of your belongings get stolen or damaged. I also learned you should take pictures of your valuable items as proof of documentation in case those items do get stolen/lost.
I learned that there are types of insurances that'll pay for things stolen from inside your car. As well as just hit the deer instead of avoiding it :/
Its better to pay more and have more coverage than paying the bare minimum and essentially having no coverage. Renter insurance covers items in your living space and car so if they are stolen then they can be replaced. Its better to document all of your expensive items so its easier to replace if they were stolen.
I learned that if you don't have car insurance you get fined. Also, I learned that you should get more than the bare minimum when it comes to coverage.
In Callens presentation, I learned that the best thing to do before picking a insurance is compare the coverage plans. Also that if you get in a car accident you should also take a picture of their insurance card, pictures of the accident, and it would be a good idea to call the police.
I learned its better to hit a deer than to try and swerve around it also i learned that full coverage can mean different things at other insurance companies.
I learned that basic insurance coverage doesn't necessarily mean your covered. If your accident or liability damage costs more than what your current plan covers, than you are responsible for the gap. I also learned that you need multiple forms of insurance to protect yourself, liability, and things like theft or insurance gaps.
I was absent but after reading these I learned that if you have good grades, it can lower your insurance costs. Also, that if you have a roommate, your insurance can either increase or decrease, depending on many things. Such as, where the apartment is, how updated it is, who you're renting from, and much more.
I learned that you should take pictures/ keep record of valuable things that you own because if there is no record of something it can not be covered by insurance if stolen or ruined in a fire and stuff like that. I also learned that full coverage means different things to every insurance agent, it depends on what they might think should be covered for your car.
i learned about how gap insurance works and that its better to spend the little bit of extra money per month to have more coverage just in case. i also learned about renters insurance and how if your car gets broken into all of the things are covered inside your car
well she made it very clear that we should definitely not have other people drive our vehicles because if something happens and your parents say did not allow for the person to drive the insurance wont cover it or they will raise your insurance. Receipts and pictures to prove that you own something if they get ruined or its stolen and the renters insurance can even cover stuff in your car f gets stolen. And it doesn't always mean your covered for everything , you could responsible in some cases.
I learned that renters insurance covers inside a car like if you have a laptop in there and it gets stolen or damaged. i knew before that its better to hit the deer then to swerve into another lane and possible hit another car and end up doing more damage then hitting the animal.
I learned that renters insurance goes beyond just what your renting it also covers your personal items. She told us that we should save the receipts and take pictures of valuable items so we can claim them if they get stolen. I also learned that they cover those items if they are stolen or damaged while in your car and not in the place you are renting. I also learned that full coverage means many things it depends on the insurance agent/agency.
i didnt know that if you had renters insurance,if you get an item such as a phone or laptop that gets stolen, it will be reimbersed. As well as that if you get into a wreck with someone who does not have insurance, you will have to pay for damages, even if its not your fault.
I have learned that you can get insurance for your personal devices and if they get stolen that you can get reimbursed for them. I have also learned that you should take pictures of personal and expensive belongings for documentation in case those items get stolen.
i learned that you can get insurance for your personal devices as well as getting your stuff stolen and you can get them reimbursed. I also learned that if you get into a wreck with someone and they dont have insurance you will have to pay.
There are many types of auto insurance, and most pieces are not very expensive but it can add up quickly. If you don't have insurance and you get in an accident, you will probably be in debt your whole life. I wish she would have discussed prices more.
I learned that although one type of insurance covers if your car were to get stolen, it does not cover anything that gets stolen out of your car such as your laptop, purse, etc.
I learned that companies that are cheaper are just offering lower insurance coverage. I also learned that gap insurance can save you a hell of a lot of time paying fees back for adding it to your insurance
From Callan's presentation I learned that if I disagree with a insurance's totaled price I can get it appraised. I also learned that car insurance does not cover anything damaged inside your car.
you can't just look at the monthly payments. learned that if you should always update your insurance with new items that can cost up to $500 so that if it gets stolen your insurance will pay you back for the item.
i learned that some companies have a limit on how many times you can lock yourself out of your car, then you'll have to start paying. also if you have home owners insurance and your car gets broken into they will cover it to a certain amount.
I learned that there is a minimum of liability a person has to have in Oregon. I also learned that if you dont agree with an insurance company's appraisal you can have someone else come appraise it.
You can't insure your personal items in your car so if your items are damaged in a wreck you're S.O.L. You can get insurance for if your car is stolen but not for the items inside.
People without insurance can be sued if they don't reimburse the accident or pay the victim. Car accidents can cause people to go bankrupt if the accident is too serious
I learned that you can get insurance for your personal devices and when you hate a car, your insurances will help you to fix your problem but you will pay for when you have more trouble by cotillion with a another car
That groups for houses have their own prerequisites for being able to go into getting loans and or a car. There is also different car insurances for natural/ non sue able accidents and person created accidents.
I learned about the different types of car insurance and how you can suspend your account up to 6 months and it will still show that you were making payments.
Renters insurance,if you get an item such as a phone or laptop that gets stolen, it can be reimbursed with a receipt. Its better to pay more and have more coverage than paying the bare minimum and essentially having no coverage. You can be under the same renter's insurance as your roommate in order to save money.
i learned that car dealerships will try anything on you to get you to buy a care from them. renters insurance is affordable and i didnt know it was so cheap.
you should get renters insurance because it will help you in the long run, and Gap is such a great thing to have and it should be a must. ~marissa johnston
First off, renters insurance is totally worth it and cheap. Second, when looking at different type of insurances, it will probably be worth it in the long run to get the more expensive one.
I learned that gap insurance is super important to have and that its important to have more insurance than the minimum required in case something unfortunate were to happen to you.
Renters' Insurance is much less than other forms of insurance and covers any property damage to a rental or personal property. To get Uninsured policies are only a dollar or two more, and cover hit-and-runs, or any situation where you can not get the insurance information from the other party, if they caused the accident or other damage.
gap insurance can be helpful and save you a lot of money People without insurance can be sued if they don't reimburse the accident or pay the victim
Car insurance rates change depending on how well you are as a driver. The more tickets or incidents one gets, the higher the prices, while the safer one is over time, the lower the prices. It's also a good idea to have Renters/Homeowners insurance with the Uninsured coverage applicable to them.
There are many types of insurance and it will always add up to be expensive, however it will be less expensive to have it then get into an accident without it, also it's required to have a few of them. Renters insurance is a very valuable thing if you car gets broken into and stolen from.
Liability is the minimum coverage you have to have in Oregon. But if you are prone to be a bad driver than it is better to get more coverage. Liability will only pay for the damage on the person you hit. And renters insurance is cheap.
I learned that anybody driving on the road has to have a minimum of liability insurance that helps cover the costs of collisions that you may cause. I also learned that Car Insurance doesn't protect the items in your car, just the car itself. So if your car were to be stolen your insurance would pay for the car itself but not the personal items inside.
Lots of different items can have insurance.Comparing all types of insurance is good so you get your best deal. Renters insurance is very good to have. Hitting the dear instead of swerving is usually a better idea so you are not at fault.
it is illegal to drive without insurance. There is different types of insurance to can buy. each one varys from price to price. the better insurance that you have the better of a situation you will be in if you get into a wreck, your car gets broken into, or any other unplanned events etc.
Since I was gone I learned from class that renters insurance costs much less than normal insurance and covers property damage. Keep all of your car receipts!(it's very important to have that documentation)
When hitting a deer do not swerve otherwise it will be your fault.Renters insurance is a good thing to have. Different insurance companies offer different stuff such as medical if you slam finger in your door.
you have to have at lease liability insurance and can be fined if you don't. but if someone hits you and doesn't have liability and you only have liability the damage won't be paid to fix for you.

ReplyDeleteI learned a lot from our recent guest speaker, her presentation was very well done and full of important information.
ReplyDeleteCheap insurance isn't the best, just bare bones. That and you need insurance for EVERYTHING. Local claim ratios are also very important.
ReplyDeleteI learned about all the different types of insurance and what exactly they and if you're gonna buy cheap insurance you may as well have nothing at all because it basically won't cover anything. I wanted to learn more in depth about the differences between good coverage and bad coverage.
ReplyDeleteWe learned that different insurances have different views on what full coverage could mean, so you need to call tell them exactly what you are looking for and try to find the best deal for it that you can. Also different insurance companies can offer random discounts for certain things so be sure to ask what discounts they offer.
ReplyDeleteI personally do not remember anything after a three day week on top of short term memory loss.
ReplyDeleteI think I learned more about renters insurance.
ReplyDeleteI learned that there are a lot of factors that go into insurance and there's lots of things that can lower your insurance or make it higher like your gender, if you took certain classes, if you are going to college. I learned that if you don't have car insurance and get in an accident that it is going to be really expensive. We also learned about all the different insurances there is and what they mean.
ReplyDeleteSome Insurance only covers the minimum so you should put a little more money away in the bank so just encase you have to use it you have it there. I also learned that you don't have to have some types of insurance for motorists but you definitely should. What I wish I learned more about is the types of deals that companies give you for insurance.
ReplyDeleteI learned all about what full coverage means. If you have a pet that bits someones it is your responsibility. You want get charged with money. I also learned that when you rent a person can stay with you for 3 days but you should also let the insurgence know before someone calls on you.
ReplyDeleteI learned that getting the bare minimum is not the best thing, it would barely cover you if you got in a accident, always get the one above the bare minimum for car insurance and renter. I also learned that if your car gets broke into, its renter insurance that would get the stuff back not car insurance.
ReplyDeleteI learned a few things form the state farm lady that had shown up.
ReplyDeleteSeth Portusach
DeleteBjornn's presentation helped me understand the core of car insurance coverage and what types should be chosen first: Comprehensive, collision, and emergency road side assistance. I leanred that renters insurance is required when applying for certain leases.
ReplyDeleteShe had a lot of useful information that I wasn't aware of like details about renters insurance such as it replacing stolen items, also renters insurance covers personal property so take pictures of things you own that are important to you over $100. Liability is great because it potentially makes you pay less out of pocket.
ReplyDeleteI learned that multiple things can be covered under your insurance including what's in your living space AND what's in your car. So if things in your car get stolen they can be replaced as well. Also it's recommended to document all your expensive and valuable items so if they're stolen they can easily be replaced.
ReplyDeletei learned that renter insurance covers items in your car if your car gets broken onto not car insurance. I also learned that some insurances only cover that minimal amount and you should always put some extra cash away in the bank.
ReplyDeleteIt's beneficial to have insurance and to invest in the slightly more expensive plan to protect yourself from any unexpected accidents whether it be a car accident or something that happens to your apartment. You should always try and prepare for te worst.
ReplyDeletei learned that you always want to hit the deer instead of swerving because if you swerve it turns into a collision claim.
ReplyDeleteDifferent insurance companies have different definitions of what full coverage means. It's important to figure out what it means for your specific company. Also to always get more than the bare minimum
ReplyDeleteyou should save some money in case you get into an accident and have a deductible you need to pay. I also learned that just because you have insurance, doesn't mean that you wont have to pay more money down the line in an accident. Getting in an accident can garnish your wages if you cant pay to fix the damages.
ReplyDeleteI learned that you can't just look at the monthly payments.
ReplyDeleteI learned that it's smart to have significantly more than the legally required amount of insurance if you can afford it. It's also safer from a financial standpoint to not swerve out of the way of a deer or something, in case you hit someone's car or property.
ReplyDeleteI learned to get more insurance then you THINK you need because anything can happen and a couple dollars a month is better than tens of thousands in damages.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good idea to get the best insurance possible even if it is more expensive. Also don't get into a car accident with somebody uninsured because your insurance will end up paying for it no matter if you caused the accident or not.
ReplyDeleteI learned that if you get hit by someone who doesn't have insurance, you or your insurance company are the ones responsible for paying for the damage. I also discovered that renters insurance is not the same as regular insurance because it covers what's in the car. Also it is very important to have extra money in the bank for your car because there is a lot of things that aren't always covered by insurance.
ReplyDeleteI learned that in Oregon, anyone driving on the road has to have a minimum of liability insurance, which helps cover the damage if I they cause harm to someone else. Also that if items in your car are stolen it can be covered by property insurance.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to invest in getting a plan that has more money to insure yourself in case you get into and accident you and the other person are insured unless you go over the deductible then you have to pay it yourself.
ReplyDeleteIt is best to have a higher insurance plan, making the investment amount higher/larger does not always mean that you are going to hike up your monthly bill as it does not often go up more then a few dollars. There is also the idea of gap insurance, which can and will help one a lot when a problem occurs. I also learned that renters insurance will cover anything in your car.
ReplyDeleteI learned that renters insurance is useful to have in case any of your belongings get stolen or damaged. I also learned you should take pictures of your valuable items as proof of documentation in case those items do get stolen/lost.
ReplyDeleteI learned that there are types of insurances that'll pay for things stolen from inside your car. As well as just hit the deer instead of avoiding it :/
ReplyDeleteIts better to pay more and have more coverage than paying the bare minimum and essentially having no coverage. Renter insurance covers items in your living space and car so if they are stolen then they can be replaced. Its better to document all of your expensive items so its easier to replace if they were stolen.
ReplyDeleteI learned that if you don't have car insurance you get fined. Also, I learned that you should get more than the bare minimum when it comes to coverage.
ReplyDeleteIn Callens presentation, I learned that the best thing to do before picking a insurance is compare the coverage plans. Also that if you get in a car accident you should also take a picture of their insurance card, pictures of the accident, and it would be a good idea to call the police.
ReplyDeleteI learned its better to hit a deer than to try and swerve around it also i learned that full coverage can mean different things at other insurance companies.
ReplyDeleteI learned that basic insurance coverage doesn't necessarily mean your covered. If your accident or liability damage costs more than what your current plan covers, than you are responsible for the gap. I also learned that you need multiple forms of insurance to protect yourself, liability, and things like theft or insurance gaps.
ReplyDeleteI was absent but after reading these I learned that if you have good grades, it can lower your insurance costs. Also, that if you have a roommate, your insurance can either increase or decrease, depending on many things. Such as, where the apartment is, how updated it is, who you're renting from, and much more.
ReplyDeleteI learned that you should take pictures/ keep record of valuable things that you own because if there is no record of something it can not be covered by insurance if stolen or ruined in a fire and stuff like that. I also learned that full coverage means different things to every insurance agent, it depends on what they might think should be covered for your car.
ReplyDeletehit the deer don't swerve, full coverage means different things to every insurance so it's a good thing to ask.
ReplyDeletei learned about how gap insurance works and that its better to spend the little bit of extra money per month to have more coverage just in case. i also learned about renters insurance and how if your car gets broken into all of the things are covered inside your car
ReplyDeletewell she made it very clear that we should definitely not have other people drive our vehicles because if something happens and your parents say did not allow for the person to drive the insurance wont cover it or they will raise your insurance. Receipts and pictures to prove that you own something if they get ruined or its stolen and the renters insurance can even cover stuff in your car f gets stolen. And it doesn't always mean your covered for everything , you could responsible in some cases.
ReplyDeletefbidnsof
ReplyDeleteI learned that renters insurance covers inside a car like if you have a laptop in there and it gets stolen or damaged. i knew before that its better to hit the deer then to swerve into another lane and possible hit another car and end up doing more damage then hitting the animal.
ReplyDeleteI learned that renters insurance goes beyond just what your renting it also covers your personal items. She told us that we should save the receipts and take pictures of valuable items so we can claim them if they get stolen. I also learned that they cover those items if they are stolen or damaged while in your car and not in the place you are renting. I also learned that full coverage means many things it depends on the insurance agent/agency.
ReplyDeleteYou can get fined if you don't have insurance and that it is better to get more than the bare minimum coverage.
ReplyDeletei didnt know that if you had renters insurance,if you get an item such as a phone or laptop that gets stolen, it will be reimbersed. As well as that if you get into a wreck with someone who does not have insurance, you will have to pay for damages, even if its not your fault.
ReplyDeleteI have learned that you can get insurance for your personal devices and if they get stolen that you can get reimbursed for them. I have also learned that you should take pictures of personal and expensive belongings for documentation in case those items get stolen.
ReplyDeletei learned that you can get insurance for your personal devices as well as getting your stuff stolen and you can get them reimbursed. I also learned that if you get into a wreck with someone and they dont have insurance you will have to pay.

ReplyDeleteI learned that although one type of insurance covers if your car were to get stolen, it does not cover anything that gets stolen out of your car such as your laptop, purse, etc.
ReplyDeleteI learned that companies that are cheaper are just offering lower insurance coverage. I also learned that gap insurance can save you a hell of a lot of time paying fees back for adding it to your insurance
ReplyDeleteFrom Callan's presentation I learned that if I disagree with a insurance's totaled price I can get it appraised. I also learned that car insurance does not cover anything damaged inside your car.
ReplyDeletei learned that gap insurance can really help you out for only 499 dolars. i also learned that you can get renters insurance.
ReplyDeleteyou can't just look at the monthly payments. learned that if you should always update your insurance with new items that can cost up to $500 so that if it gets stolen your insurance will pay you back for the item.
ReplyDeletei learned that some companies have a limit on how many times you can lock yourself out of your car, then you'll have to start paying. also if you have home owners insurance and your car gets broken into they will cover it to a certain amount.

ReplyDeleteIt's important to buy a car that insurance companies consider "safe" or your rates will be higher. Renters insurance is pretty cheap.
ReplyDeleteCar insurance rates change depending on how well you are as a driver. The more tickets or incidents one gets, the higher the prices, while the safer one is over time, the lower the prices.
ReplyDeleteIt's also a good idea to have Renters/Homeowners insurance with the Uninsured coverage applicable to them.
There are many types of insurance and it will always add up to be expensive, however it will be less expensive to have it then get into an accident without it, also it's required to have a few of them. Renters insurance is a very valuable thing if you car gets broken into and stolen from.
